The beautiful Xaman Ek Retreat & Spa is located just 5.4 miles north of San Pedro on the tropical island of Ambergris Caye. The retreat has only 6 rooms set on 2 acres with 200’ of beautiful beach and is owner operated by long time San Pedro residents. This picture perfect resort is set in a secluded setting of landscaped lush vegetation which leads into the pristine beaches and into the shimmering turquoise water of the Caribbean Sea. Xaman Ek Retreat & Spa has one of the very best beaches in Belize and offers peace, quiet and tranquility, while only a few minutes from the relative hustle and bustle of Ambergris Caye’s only town, San Pedro. The entire retreat has been remodeled for 2007 and the rooms and grounds are immaculate. Each room speaks of relaxation and offers soothing tropical breezes in the traditions of old Belize and Island living.
Xaman Ek is renowned for its Tropical Touch Massage and Day Spa facility. Xaman Ek brings together tropical beaches, spa pampering and fine Belize accommodations in a wonderfully intimate resort setting which is sure to impress. Pamper yourself as you indulge in any one of the spa services with their Tropical Touch Massage & Day Spa. The hotel spa facility is in a traditional thatched palapa, on the beach just 20 feet from the waters edge.
Although the resort does not have any on site restaurants, guests are not with out options. The resort is within walking distance of 3 great restaurants and bars. You can enjoy authentic Belize cuisine as well as cosmopolitan menus and comfortable fully stocked bars. Nightlife in San Pedro is non-stop and is only a $25bz water taxi ride away. In addition, guests can prepare their own meals by utilizing the comfortable and well appointed kitchens in their cabanas.

Even though the property does not have a bar and restaurant, they do offer incredibly delicious views, scrumptious serenity and mouthwatering privacy that is hard to equal anywhere. Come experience the Belizean hospitality and enjoy some truly luscious breathing space. The resort has a wide variety of exotic flowering plants as well as medicinal plants, herbs and trees. At Xaman Ek you know you are in a tropical paradise. Tropical birds including Osprey, Rosetta Spoonbill and flocks of parrots are frequently sighted with a large variety of birds of all sizes everywhere.

All of Xaman Ek guests are met at the airport in San Pedro by the resort’s driver Rigo and taken to a charted water taxi for a non-stop trip to the retreat. While transferring from the airport to the hotel, many guests elect to do some shopping at the local market for groceries and sundries. Just let your driver know. There are no stores near the retreat so plan ahead. Ice and soft drinks are available to guests in addition to purified drinking water. Wireless internet is available free of charge to Xaman Ek guests. They have next-day laundry service available for guests. Guys, bring your fly rod, Permit and Bonefish and Jack abound in the shallow waters off our beach and pier.

They have some light tackle to loan (no fly rods) or you can buy any gear you need in San Pedro Town. Golf Cart rentals and any tours can be arranged through the front desk. The Xaman Ek staff is happy to arrange land adventures, dive packages as well as spa packages or a combination of all the above.
